How To Indentify Your Skin Type

While beautiful skin may come naturally for some, beautiful skin is actually the result of a consistent daily skincare routine and healthy lifestyle habits to keep our skin smooth, supple, and radiant on a daily basis.

Are you not seeing the results you want with your skincare? You’re more than likely using the wrong products for your skin type. Knowing your skin type will help you choose the products or ingredients that are most suitable for your complexion. Below we have listed the 5 common skin types and how to identify yours along with product recommendations.

Patience is key when it comes to skincare and while one person may see the benefits of a product in just a few days, another may have to wait a few weeks to see results. Results can often be seen within 1-2 months on average. So stay consistent with your regimen and drink plenty of water!

Normal Skin: Normal skin types have a balanced T-zone. The T-zone includes the forehead, nose, and chin and is generally clear of breakouts and dryness. Keep your skin hydrated with Deep Hydration Cream.

Oily Skin: Oily skin is characterized by excess oil production primarily in the T-zone. Skin may look shiny or feel greasy to the touch and is more prone to blemishes and breakouts. Our Ultra Nourishing Cleansing Oil is perfect to help balance natural oils while Charcoal Rescue Mask is great for eliminating excess oil.

Dry Skin: Dry skin produces less oil than normal skin. Skin may be flaky or itchy, have a dull complexion, and fine lines and wrinkles will be more visible. Exfoliate dry skin with Blooming Fruit Infused Facial Scrub and follow up with Rapid Repair Serum under your moisturizer.

Combination Skin: Combination skin tends to have more dryness in the cheek area and oiliness in the T-zone area. This skin type can overall be dehydrated and irritated. Use Overnight Recovery Cream to combat combination skin.

Sensitive Skin: Signs of sensitive skin may vary from redness and burning, to breakouts, itching and inflammation. Because certain products and ingredients can help while other may exacerbate the problem, sensitive skin requires more care when choosing the appropriate products. Use fragrance free products such as Fresh Glow Vitamin C Serum to provide the immunity the skin needs to combat redness.

**All of our skincare products are fragrance free excluding Deep Hydration Cream, Rapid Repair Serum and Charcoal Rescue Mask.
